Sarah Michelle Gellar Her Life Story.. As far as I can work out.
Here is the life story of Sarah Michelle Gellar as far as I can work out, I've missed some things out I know but I don't know a lot about her in some things.
Sarah has been acting since she was 4, she was approached in a burger bar by a womanhere's what Sarah said about getting the part in a Burger King ad: she said: "I was sitting in a restaurant when some woman came up to me and said, "do you want to be on TV?" I said "Oh yes, of course I do." I had no idea what I was doing." as you do. So all praise that woman, without her the world would never have seen the greatness of Sarah Michelle Gellar. Anyway, the commertial created a lot of attention because McDonalds sued everyone involved in it because Burger King used McDonalds' name. Here's Sarah's account of that: "it became a very famous law suit, actually.Burger King was the first company to use another companies name in its commercial. So McDonald's sued not only J Walker (the agency responsible for the ad) and Burger King, but me too!" I don't know how the case ended or how much McDonalds were expecting from a five year old but there you go. In her early years she appeared in many films and TV shows, her first film was called "an invasion of privacy". her other early films included "Over the Bridge", "High Stakes" and "Funny Farm". Her TV appearences included "Girl Talk", "A Woman Named Jackie" and "Swans Crossing". I never got to see any of these early shows so I can't really say how good she was in them, if you've seen any then please feel free to mail me with any reviews. What came next for Sarah was what got my attention, in early 1993 Sarah got a part in American daytime soap "all my children", she played a character named Kendall Hart. She was very good in this and she caught my eye and I guess I kind of fancied her since the first time I saw her, although she was more cute than sexy, that she is now. Sarah won an Emmy for her role in "all my children" and nominated for another, I should have a picture of her with the emmy, I also have a sound wave although I'm not sure if I'm going to download it, it's very sweet though. She made her breakthrough in 96 when she got the lead role in Warner Bros. teen comedy drama "Buffy the Vampire Slayer". If you haven't seen it, firstly do-broadcasting times are here somewhere, secondly, the show is based on the film of the same name, pretty poor movie but the writers did bloody well to turn it around. It is about Buffy Summers, a 16 year old girl who moves to Sunnydale in search of a normal life but unfortunately Sunnydale happened to be on the hellmouth, typical isn't it. Anyway a very cool and funny show, especially when Spike arrives (that's for English viewers, were about a series behind everywhere else due to the fact it was taken off one channel half way through the second series and then it's just started all over again on another channel.) My favorite Buffy line is: Xander:(to Cordelia)"good the mob still hasn't found us we should be safe up here" Angel:(bursting through window and pulling Xander out) "works in theory" ha ha ha ha ha ha herr ok you have to have seen it to find it funny. Buffy didn't do too well in its first series in America, or England. But in America due to some fantastic scedule changes Buffy became HUGE and was the W.B. network's highest rating show, which so my American friends tell me isn't that hard. In England however Buffy still wasn't doing well due to the very poor time slot it was put in, but instead of changing the schedules SKY decided just to take it off the air (****ers) But thankfully now the BBC have the rights and are showing it every Wednesday and Thursday evening at 6.45pm Anyway, that's enough about Buffy.
I get the feeling I'm missing one of her TV appearences, can't think what though. Recent movies have also made a name for Sarah too, she has been in two horror movies; I Know What You Did Last Summer and Scream 2. She starred alongside Jennifer Love Hewitt in I Know What You Did Last Summer, a very cool film about teenage friends who are stalked and killed by a scary bloke with a hook, the film version is quite gory but the video isn't quite as gory, just a few small changes but anyway, the videos out to buy or rent now. Sarah won a golden globe award for it, I stayed up 'till 2 in the morning to see if she won anything so I'm glad she did. She looked stunning at the award ceremony, I've ordered a print of her at the ceremony so I might scan it in when I get it. i've also got the sound wave for this but it is huge so I won't be putting it on here. She then played Cici in Screm 2 (the new killers "Casey" because Casey is her real name, if you've seen either of the movie you'll know what I'm talking about) this is a great movie although Sarah is seen only in two scenes and dies in the second one. Sarah can currently be seen in romantic comedy "Simply Irrisistable" (formaly known as "Vanilla Fog") release date in the UK is not comfirmed as of yet. her other movie "Cruel Intentions"which is relesed in the UK on 11th of June and she also lended her voice to the animated film "Small Soldiers" She wants to do one film this summer, there are rumers of her playing Rouge in the new X-Men movie, there are also rumers that she will star with James Van Der Beek in a movie. Sarah has done some acting off screen too, she has done theatre work in the form of "Jake's Women" and "The Window Claire" I haven't seen these due to the fact I have never left England to go to the U.S.
